A Legacy in Stitches: The Birth of My Memory Bear
Moving my mom into assisted living was bittersweet. While packing, I found my grandparents’ robes tucked away, stirring memories of Grandpa reading the morning paper and Grandma sipping coffee. I couldn’t let these pieces be forgotten, so I transformed them into teddy bears.

Each bear reflected their essence—
Grandma’s lace ruffle became a delicate collar, while a burn hole in her robe turned into a patched ear. Grandpa’s designer tags remained intact, honoring his refined taste. When I gave them to my mom, her tearful embrace showed the deep emotional connection these keepsakes held.
That moment sparked My Memory Bear, a business dedicated to preserving family legacies. We’ve since crafted hundreds of custom bears, turning cherished clothing into timeless mementos.
Family has always been at the heart of this journey.
My daughter-in-law, Kiley, recently joined the business, bringing fresh ideas and reinforcing our mission. Her involvement highlights what matters most—honoring loved ones through meaningful keepsakes and keeping family traditions alive.
